Our Research Partners
In order to advance the science of policing, it is crucial that academics and policing professionals develop strong working relationships. In order to move further towards this goal, the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing is proud to announce strategic partnerships with the following research institutions. We encourage others in the field to partner with us so that we can assist in connecting those who provide policing services to those that study the impact and effectiveness of those programs.
The University of Cambridge, U.K.
Headed by Professor Lawrence Sherman, the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge in England has been pivotal in the advancement of evidence-based policing. Over 50% of all senior police leaders in the United Kingdom have received training in evidence-based practices to date and several of the founding members of the ASEBP are recent graduates of the Police Executive Programme.
Are you ready to be the next research partner?
The ASEBP is in discussions with numerous other research organizations at the moment and would welcome anyone with interest to contact us. Our goal is to connect those conducting the research with practitioners in the field who will drive the conversation.
